How can we tell if we are accomplishing something of an eternal value? Money can measure the value that is attributable by society. Yet, it is not enough to do something that society considers worthwhile. It is crucial to have a grander meaning. This grander meaning leads us to fellowship. It is wisdom. How do we measure wisdom? How do we measure life? How do we measure fellowship? I struggle with the question how do we measure our progress in achieving that purpose. King Solomon is called most wise, so the implication is that there is a way to measure or at least compare degrees of wisdom. Jesus claims to bring life, and that more abundently. Once again there is an implication that abundance of life can be measured. Or, is there something inherently immeasurable about those?
