Back in the olden days location defined community. Yet, today I find myself having friends all over the world. With the advent of Internet, discounter airlines and ubiquitus cell phones, it seems that location has less and less hold on the boundaries of community. Yet, we need a community. Some find it in belonging to organizations or churches, others find it in the neighborhood bar. It just seems that most options out there seem to fall short of the REAL community. By real community I mean the one where people help each other out. The one where, people can have deep and meaningful conversations. This community, is like a network of people who share each others burdens is what is desperately needed in today’s world.
