Every serious business always starts with a couple of dreamers. It’s not the dreams that are important, it is the dreaming. The place where friends or even strangers feel comfortable talking about their dreams is the true business incubator. Our society frowns on dreaming, yet the real dreamers are the doers. They don’t just talk about their dreams but they align everything they do with their vision of the world.
“I have a dream…” is one of the most motivating and encouraging things a person can say. This phrase has a hope, has heart, has willingness to share that which is most sacred all rolled in to one.
When I start the business school that I dream about, the very first class will be on dreaming, on envisioning, on falling passionately in love with the vision.
We need to be flexible with our dreams and we need to dream together, but most of all we need to dream.
