What does a person who wants to start a non-profit gym that truly accommodates all kinds of disabilities alongside with people of regular ability and athletes have in common with a group of guys who are starting a place where people can work on their cars and the president of one of the most reputable software companies in town.

I am not talking about the happenstance that I have had a chance to get to meet with all of these wonderful people this week, to understand  their needs and to hopefully make suggestions that would help them move forward.  I am not referring to the fact that they are all local companies who share many of the same challenges. I am not even talking about the fact that they were all open to change, quick to listen and really knew what they were talking about.  And I am definitely not talking about the shared demographics of being white middle aged males, even though each of these could be a topic of its own series of blogs.

What all these people have in common is that they have not been able to find an effective forum to discuss their issues, to get the input and support they seek. Hopefully, the community we build through Start Anything meetup will be able to start addressing that need in our city.
